Hi, I'm Carole – a Mauritian - English artist based in the South East of England, with a suitcase that's never fully unpacked and a mind that's always chasing its next burst of creative chaos.

My life has taken me across oceans, cultures and continents, and every location I've visited, wandered off, or got delightfully lost in has shaped the way I see the world.

My Mauritian roots give me colour, rhythm, warmth, and a love for people from all walks of life, as well as for the beautifully unexpected.

My English side adds a touch of classic charm, a hint of structure and occasionally a cup of tea balanced dangerously close to wet paint.

Together, they form the foundation of my art: calming compositions layered with stories and textures gathered from my travels.

 

Art and design have always been my compass. From bustling markets to quiet coastlines, vibrant cities to small hidden corners of the world – every experience feeds my need to create.

Of course, behind the serenity of my work lies the real me: a delightfully eccentric, slightly scruffy artist who thrives in creative chaos. I find inspiration in crooked picture frames, mismatched socks and even running off to the supermarket when I've run out of milk. My personality may be slightly wacky, but it's honest, and it fuels everything I create.
